Stanley H. Barkan, the poet/translator/editor/publisher of the Cross-Cultural Review Series of World Literature and Art, has, till 2016, his 46th anniversary year, produced some 425 titles in 58 different languages. His own work has been translated into 26 different languages, and published in 19 collections, several of them bilingual (Bulgarian, Chinese, Italian, Polish, Romanian, Russian, Sicilian). In 2006, He was invited to be the first solo featured poet at the Dylan Thomas Centre in Swansea, Wales, by Peter Thabit Jones, poet/editor of The Seventh Quarry. He lives with his artist wife, Bebe, in Merrick, Long Island, near his son and daughter and five grandchildren.
