We are a platform for explorations of race, gender, culture, and identity, and for a wide range of voices and experiences, and to that end, we publish all kinds - students and professors, dilettantes and old hands, Pushcart Prize winners and schoolkids, from our hometown of Athens, GA, and points beyond.

Map Literary

Map Literary is dedicated to celebrating quality works of new literature. Rather than aligning with any one aesthetic, we aspire to promote the finest provocative writing of our time, publishing semiannual issues of original fiction, poetry, and nonfiction in an online format, with occasional letterpress print supplements. We are also interested in advancing works of art, especially collage. Currently, we have an active interest in works of nonfiction, from fervent expository to experimental and confessional. Our editorial team also runs the annual Rachel Wetzsteon Chapbook Award.
