Editorial Focus

We are a literary review and host international contests. We juxtapose tradition with experiment, the up-and-comer with the established writer and create a new dialogue. **The Writer's Hotel is the editorial arm of TNG. Via The Writer's Hotel, TNG's crew hosts a Master Class in prose in NYC and also offers editorial services and private study. TNG & The Writer's Hotel are writers for writers' sake. "Give us your ire, your lore, your guarded passage."

Tips From the Editor

The New Guard Vol. IV. contest period is open from Feb. 6-July 14, 2014. Joe Wenderoth is judging in Fiction and Tim Seibles in Poetry. Machigonne Fiction Contest: 5,000 words max, any genre.
