Editorial Focus

MOLT is a new literary journal based in the principles of honesty and simplicity. We believe that good writing deserves to be read, regardless of who wrote it or how many pages we have left. (We resolved this issue by abandoning pages altogether.) We hope to provide a voice for emerging writers, especially those whose work falls in the gap between “mainstream” and “alternative” writing—which in contemporary literature is alarmingly wide. We are also committed to responding personally to every submission, opening a channel of communication between writers and editors.

Tips From the Editor

We ask that your writing be thoughtful, unpretentious, free of spelling and grammatical errors, true. The ideal submission begins as a thought which demands to be spoken, turns into a word which demands to be written, and comes to us as a piece which demands to be read.
