Beatnik Cafe is a monthly poetry series, hosted by Hanna Pachman at the tea cafe, Hey Hey (1555 Sunset Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90026). There are 1-2 featured readers followed by an open mic. Bayley Sprowl is a human poet who lives in a constant state of flux. Their work can be found in The Los Angeles Press, pioneertown lit, Berlin’s SAND Journal, Asterisk, Frontier Poetry, and three issues of The Mountain Astrologer Magazine. Deeply private, all they really want is to be seen—and poems are the best way they know how.
Tessa Claire Hersh is an adopted, mixed-raced, dog-mom,poet living in Los Angeles but always mentioning her 13 years in Brooklyn, NY. She supports her poetry habit with acting and writing. She is a trained somatic therapist, doula, death doula, and long time educator. She loves talking about desserts and our mortality. Her poetry is published in the anthology Black Rootedness published by Elyssar press.
