We do accept e-mail submissions but only from authors recommended to us by people we know (usually other authors, sometimes editors). Our reporting time is usually a week or less for a proposal, three or four weeks for a complete manuscript.
Is strong journalism and column writing considered when judging the talent of a writer seeking to branch out into more creative areas?
