Author's Bio

HIROMI YOSHIDA is the author of three full-length poetry collections: Red for KanrekiGreen Roses Bloom for Icarus, and Icarus Redux; and seven poetry chapbooks: Pothos, Icarus in CreteUmamiIcarus SuperstarIcarus Hieroglyph, Epicanthus, and Icarus Burning. She is a finalist for the New Women's Voices Poetry Prize sponsored by Finishing Line Press, and a semifinalist for the Gerald Cable Book Award sponsored by Silverfish Review Press. She is also the editor of Stormwash: Environmental Poems (vol. 1 & 2); poetry editor of Flying Island Journal; and chair of the Writers Guild at Bloomington. She curates the Guild's Last Sunday Poetry reading series, and teaches poetry for the Indiana Writers Center.
