The 29th annual Write on the Sound Writers’ Conference will be held from October 3 to October 5 in the waterfront town of Edmonds, Washington. The conference features workshops in poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction, as well as one-on-one manuscript critiques and book signings. The faculty includes poet Holly Hughes, fiction writers Larry Brooks and Jim Lynch, and creative nonfiction writers Pam Binder, Clare Hodgson Meeker, and Ingrid Ricks. The cost of the conference is $140 before August 29, and $155 thereafter. Preconference sessions are $125 for the full day and $75 for half a day. Manuscript consultations with nonfiction writer and playwright Bill Johnson are available for an additional $35. Registration is first come, first served.
