This program features the River City Writers Series as well as the Student Reading Series. Students may mix genres and choose from four tracks: Studio, Literary Studies, Creative/Professional Writing, Cross Disciplinary Studies. Courses are also offered in publishing and literary career-building.

In addition to this program, the department also offers an MA in Professional Writing.

The application deadline for the fall semester is March 1; the application deadline for the spring semester is October 15.
