Author's Bio

My fiction has been featured in Best New American Voices 2009, The Kenyon Review, Boulevard, The Cincinnati Review, and Flatmancrooked, among others. I have been awarded merit scholarships from the Wesleyan Writers Conference, the Key West Literary Seminar, and the Port Townsend Writers Conference, and my collection of short fiction was twice a Semi-Finalist for the Iowa Short Fiction Award. Last spring I served a residency at the Kimmel Harding Nelson Center for the Arts and received special mention in the Pushcart Prize anthology. I'm a senior fiction reader for Prairie Schooner.
