The 26th annual Summer Fishtrap Gathering of Writers will be held from July 8 to July 14 at the Wallowa Lake Camp and Retreat Center in Wallowa Lake, Oregon. The program features workshops in poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction, as well as panel discussions, readings, and time to write. The theme for the 2013 conference is Breaking Trail: Off the Beaten Path. Participating writers include poet Holly Hughes, fiction writers William Kittredge and Benjamin Percy, and creative nonfiction writers Judy Blunt, Scott Russell Sanders, Annick Smith, and Minton Sparks. The keynote speaker is creative nonfiction writer Cheryl Strayed. Tuition ranges from $215 for a weekend workshop to $680 for a five-day workshop. Evening readings are free.
