Ryan Vine’s work has appeared in The American Poetry Review, Ploughshares, the Minneapolis Star Tribune and twice on National Public Radio’s The Writer’s Almanac. His honors include a Weldon Kees Award (Backwaters Press), the Robert Watson Poetry Prize (Greensboro Review), a grant from the Arrowhead Regional Arts council, a Pushcart Prize nomination and finalist nods for the Black Warrior Review Poetry Prize, the Erskine J. Poetry Prize (Smartish Pace) and the May Swenson Poetry Award from Utah State University Press. His poems have inspired paintings, a film short and numerous musical compositions. In 2011, he was one of 5 poets chosen from across the country to collaborate with composers from New York City. This collaboration culminated in a reading at Carnegie Hall.
