Author's Bio

Rosemarie Wilson a.k.a. One Single RoseTM is an award winning poet, spoken word artist, singer/songwriter, actress, playwright and filmmaker, workshop facilitator, motivational speaker, author of three self-published poetry collections, nice and naughty chapbooks.  Her love for the word began in the second grade when she won her first poetry contest.  After graduating from Davenport University, songwriting pushed her pen as a poet and she's been following poetry ever since, performing wherever her words are welcomed nationally and internationally.  A few of her notable performances include the Floacist’s Flovertex and The Sidewalk Festival of Performing Arts in Detroit, MI, the Kistrech Poetry Festival in Kisii and Nairobi, Kenya, the Piton International Film Festival in St. Lucia as well as touring Europe in 2012. She is currently a featured artist and songwriter with Defected Records, the United Kingdom’s #1 house music record label. Her short spoken word videos have screened in numerous film festivals.  Rosemarie is one of the first poets published under the Broadside-Lotus Press merger, two of the oldest African-American publishers in the United States and the first poet to be filmed in Motown's infamous Studio A.   For more information on One Single RoseTM, please visit www.onesinglerose.com.
