He has also had work published in Drum Voices Revue, The Patterson Review, Big Hammer and many other journals. Some of his work deals with his Puerto Rican heritage, including some work exploring his Taino ancestry. Rick has also been a journalist for 25 years, publishing over 100 articles about indigenous Latin America in "Indian Country Today".
