Perry Brass

Author's Bio

“... something as close to being in love as he would ever get was hitting him. . . Just watching John, a vast, powerful electrical charge hit him. It was stupendous. He was outrageously in love with him.” Carnal Sacraments, 2007. “A pioneer of gay literature” (ForeWord magazine), poet/novelist Perry Brass has published 16 books including How to Survive Your Own Gay Life, The Lover of My Soul, The Harvest, Angel Lust, Warlock, The Substance of God, and Carnal Sacraments, A Historical Novel of the Future—“one of the most unusual novels I’ve read in years,” said Bay Area Reporter, San Francisco. His latest book is King of Angels, A Novel About the Genesis of Identity and Belief, a finalist for a Ferro-Grumley Award from the Ferro-Grumley Foundation. He has been featured in 25 anthologies, taught many workshops, and his more than 50 poetry collaborations with composers have been performed at Carnegie Hall and in London, Amsterdam, Berlin, and Tokyo.
