Author's Bio

Nancy J. Jones is a novelist, freelance writer, and former women’s studies instructor at Minnesota State University at Moorhead.

She previously taught in the English and Women’s Studies Department at Concordia College, Moorhead, MN. Prior to that she was a speechwriter, media spokeswoman, and communications professional in Washington, D.C., where she worked for the chief administrator of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the president of the Newspaper Association of America. She began her career as a newspaper reporter and editor in Pennsylvania, where she grew up.

She earned a B.A.in French and Journalism from Moravian College, Bethlehem, PA, and a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.

She has been a visiting scholar for literature programs for both the North Carolina and North Dakota Humanities Councils.

She lives in Fargo, ND, with her two Cardigan Welsh corgis. She is an enthusiastic horsewoman and participates in the equestrian sport of dressage.
