Meg Kearney (pronounced “car-nee”)

Meg Kearney is author of nine books, including All Morning the Crows, which was winner of the Washington Prize for poetry, a Pushcart Prize nominee, a Silver Medalist in Foreword Review’s Indies Book Awards, and made Small Press Distribution’s poetry bestseller list April through September, 2021. Her second heroic crown of sonnets, Cardiac Thrill, was published in September 2025. The Ice Storm (2020), her first heroic crown, is now in its fourth printing; and Home By Now (2010) was winner of the PEN New England L.L. Winship Award. Meg’s poetry has been featured on Poetry Daily, Ted Kooser’s “American Life in Poetry” series, and Garrison Keillor’s “A Writer’s Almanac;” it was also included in the 2017 Best American Poetry anthology. A native New Yorker, she lives in New Hampshire and is founding director of the Solstice MFA in Creative Writing Program at Lasell University in Massachusetts.
