Author's Bio
Mary MacGowan lives alone on a deserted frozen lake where it snows every day all winter. As she writes this, she is pleased to announce signs of Spring, and perhaps of love. She’s had over 50 poems published in literary journals, but no luck (so far) with a booklength.
In addition to her daily dose of poetry, Mary is working on a novel about Jane Austen. It's a story she's always wanted to read, so she decided she'd best write it.
Mary was a music major at NYU, and is an Art Therapist (Pratt Institute). She's lucky enough to be enjoying retirement, which allows her to work everyday on her artistic endeavors. Her current artwork involves altering/painting old National Geographic photos, and (sometimes humorous) illustrated greeting cards, both of which are for sale at a local prestigious art gallery.
Mary's CD, Morning Glory, released several years ago, received some top level positive reviews and she enjoyed a good run of it. Morning Glory is still available at Amazon if my readers find it of interest. Hint: Go buy it!
