Mary Harwell Sayler

Author's Bio

Mary Harwell Sayler, an ecumenical Christian poet and writer, began writing poems as a child but as an adult wrote almost everything except poetry. Her publishing credits include 24 traditionally published books in all genres and over 1500 poems, articles, devotionals, and children’s stories. In 1983 she began helping other poets through her poetry home study course then poetry critiques and writing consults for a minimal fee. She also provides free resources about writing in general on her blogs and website. For over 10 years Mary has chaired the poetry division for the writing contest sponsored by Writers-Editors.com, now in its 30th year, and also judges literature for children. In 2012 Hiraeth Press published her book Living in the Nature Poem, and later that year, Mary uploaded the Poetry Dictionary For Children and For Fun (for all ages!) as a Kindle e-book. Just before its 30th anniversary, she also released her original home study course as the Kindle e-book, the Christian Poets’ Guide to Writing Poetry. She’s now researching Bible topics, writing poems and prayers in a variety of forms, and encouraging other Christian Poets & Writers in the group she began on Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/groups/Christianpoetsandwriters/
