Mary Harwell Sayler

Author's Bio

Mary Harwell Sayler began writing poems as a child then wrote almost everything but poetry! Her credits include 26 traditionally published books and 1500 poems, articles, devotionals, and children’s stories. In 1983 she began to help other poets and poetry students through her poetry home study course then through critiques and writing consults for a minimal fee. She also provides writing resources on her blogs and website. Since 1999 Mary has chaired the poetry division for the annual contest sponsored by Writers-Editors.com and judges literature for children. In 2012 Hiraeth Press published her book Living in the Nature Poem, and later that year, Mary uploaded the Kindle e-book, the Poetry Dictionary For Children and For Fun! She then released her study course as the e-book, the Christian Poets’ Guide to Writing Poetry, and began the Christian Poets & Writers group on Facebook. In 2013 she published the Christian Writers’ Guide e-book, and in 2014 Kelsay Books accepted her book of Bible-based poems entitled Outside Eden and her book of children’s poems, Beach Songs and Wood Chimes.
