Author's Bio

Mary Buchingeris the author of four collections of poetry: Navigating the Reach (forthcoming, Salmon Poetry), e i n f ü h l u n g/in feeling (Main Street Rag), Aerialist (Gold Wake), Roomful of Sparrows (Finishing Line). Her work was selected for the Boston Raining Poetry Project and one of her poems is permanently installed in the city of Cambridge, Massachusetts, where she lives and served as Poetry Ambassador. Her poetry has appeared in  AGNI, DIAGRAM, Gargoyle, Nimrod, [PANK], Ruminate, Salamander, Salt Hill Journal, Slice Magazine, The Boston Globe, The Cortland Review, The Hollins Critic,The Massachusetts Review and elsewhere. Mary grew up on a farm in Michigan, served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Ecuador, and holds a doctorate in Linguistics from Boston University. She is President of the New England Poetry Club (founded in 1915 by Robert Frost, Amy Lowell, Conrad Aiken) and Professor of English and Communication Studies at MCPHS University in Boston.
