Khadijah Queen

Author's Bio

Khadijah Queen is the author of two poetry collections: Conduit (Black Goat/Akashic 2008) and Black Peculiar (Noemi Press 2011). Her two chapbooks are No Isla Encanta (dancing girl press 2007) and I'm so fine: a list of famous men and what I had on (forthcoming from Sibling Rivalry Press). Individual poems appear widely in journals and anthologies, and broadsides produced by Georgia Institute of Technology, NYC's Center for Book Arts and Flying Object. The recipient of fellowships from Cave Canem, Idyllwild Summer Poetry, Squaw Valley Community of Writers and the Norman Mailer Writers' Colony, she is currently working on a third manuscript. She holds an MFA in creative writing from Antioch University Los Angeles
