Kerry James Evans earned a Ph.D. in English from Florida State University and an MFA in creative writing from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale. He is the recipient of a 2015 NEA Fellowship, a Walter E. Dakin Fellowship from Sewanee Writers' Conference, and his poems have appeared in Agni, Narrative, New England Review, Ploughshares, and many other journals. He is the author of Bangalore (Copper Canyon), and he currently serves as a Visiting Lecturer in the English Department at Florida State University.
