Author's Bio

I served on the Editorial Board and the Board of Directors of New York Quarterly under the late William Packard, and on its Advisory Board under current editor Raymond Hammond; also as a Contributing Columnist of Home Planet News, and Guest Editor of The Pedestal. My work has appeared in hundreds of literary journals over the past 35 years, as well as on NPR and Pacifica networks. Examples of my essays, literary reviews, poetry, and CDs can be found at my website at www.jaredsmith.info I worked within industry for 30 years, advising both The Clinton White House and the National Laboratories on National Security, energy, and emergency response issues.
