Headlands Center for the Arts
Headlands Center for the Arts offers residencies of 4 to 10 weeks from March to November to poets, fiction writers, and creative nonfiction writers in the coastal wilderness of the Marin Headlands outside San Francisco. Residents are provided with lodging, work space, and five meals a week. For residencies in 2014, submit a writing sample of up to 20 pages of poetry or 30 pages of prose, a letter of interest, a résumé, and a list of three references, with a $35 application fee by June 7.
