Headlands Center for the Arts offers residencies of 4 to 10 weeks from March to November to poets, fiction writers, and creative nonfiction writers in the coastal wilderness of the Marin Headlands outside San Francisco. Residents are provided with a $500 monthly stipend, lodging, work space, and five meals a week. Students enrolled in a degree-granting program are ineligible. For residencies in 2015, submit a writing sample of up to 20 pages of poetry or 30 pages of prose, a letter of interest, a résumé, and a list of three references with a $35 application fee by June 6.
