Gulf Stream Magazine, started in 1989, is a national literary magazine published by The Creative Writing Program at Florida International University. It is a bi-annual online journal dedicated to publishing great fiction, nonfiction, and poetry. In addition, we publish first-book reviews and interviews.
We read submissions from September 15th to December 15th and January 15th through March 15th. Please only send work during these reading periods. We do not read paper submissions.
Submit one short story, one creative nonfiction piece or up to five poems as one MS Word file (if using a newer version of Word, please save your document as a ".doc" file rather than ".docx"). Prose is limited to 10,000 words. Include a cover letter with contact and biographical information as the first page of your submission.
Please note: The information provided in this database is provided by the magazines listed in it.
