Glenn Lyvers (1969-current) was born in Michigan. He has lived in California, Georgia, Indiana and various US locations. He has traveled abroad, both in the Americas and Europe (including some time spent living and studying in Oaxaca Mexico, near Central America). He speaks English and Spanish. Lyvers received assistance in publishing his first book, “Glenn Lyvers Midwest Collection,” after winning the 2009 Best Poet award from Midwest Literary Magazine. “Midwest Collection” is now self-distributed. Glenn’s second book, Burnt Umber, was published by MLM Press (http://MidwestLiteraryMagazine.com). Glenn has received two pushcart nominations, a Wolfson Award from Indiana University, and his works appear in dozens of literary journals. Lyvers is the current editor of Poetry Quarterly, a not-for-profit literary journal (http://PoetryQuarterly.org), as well as the owner of GreenSubmissions (http://GreenSubmissions.com), a submission managing software suite serving a large group of literacy journals online, as seen in Poets and Writers Magazine. Lyvers self publishes a small bi-annual journal based on the life and times of small towns in Midwest America, “Inwood Indiana,” (http://InwoodIndiana.com) named after one of the places he lived. Lyvers is currently living and working in Indiana, where he is pursuing a law degree. Lyvers intends to practice child advocacy law. Lyvers has been divorced since 1995, and has lived as a single parent raising his children since that time. Lyvers volunteers with Aspergers support groups. He has a special needs son, whom he home schools, and who has been inspirational in his decision to pursue child advocacy as a part-time career.
