Glenn Lyvers

Author's Bio

Glenn Lyvers (1969-current) was born in Michigan. He has lived in California, Georgia, Indiana and various US locations. He has traveled abroad, both in the Americas and Europe (including some time spent living and studying in Oaxaca Mexico, near Central America). He speaks English and Spanish. Lyvers holds a degree in Philosophy from Indiana University. He received assistance in publishing his first book, “Glenn Lyvers Midwest Collection,” after winning the 2009 Best Poet award from Midwest Literary Magazine. Glenn’s second book, Burnt Umber, was published by MLM Press. Glenn has won the Indiana University annual poetry contest, received two pushcart nominations, a Wolfson Award, and his works appear in dozens of literary journals. Lyvers is the currently the masthead at Prolific Press (http://prolificpress.com), a publishing house where he oversees the publication of numerous literary journals including Poetry Quarterly, a not-for-profit literary journal (http://PoetryQuarterly.org). Lyvers is also the owner of GreenSubmissions (http://GreenSubmissions.com), a submission managing software suite serving a large group of literacy journals online, as seen in Poets and Writers Magazine. Lyvers self publishes a small bi-annual journal based on the life and times of small towns in Midwest America, “Inwood Indiana,” (http://InwoodIndiana.com) named after one of the places he lived. Lyvers is a master photographer and has received national recognition in the field. Lyvers recently moved from Virginia Beach to a small fishing village on Virginia's Eastern Shore where he is working on his next book. Glenn Lyvers is currently available for readings.
