I am a poet, and author of three collections of poems: Inventory at the All-Night Drugstore (Anhinga Press, 2003), and two soon-to-be published books--Ideal Cities (Harper Perennial, 2010), which was selected as a 2009 National Poetry Series winner, and Makeshift Instructions for Vigilant Girls (Anhinga Press, 2011).
My poems have appeared or are forthcoming in journals including Virginia Quarterly Review, American Poetry Review, The New Republic, Indiana Review, The Southern Review, Prairie Schooner, and elsewhere.
I am currently an assistant professor of English at Virginia Tech, where I teach in the MFA program.
