Edward Lodi

Author's Bio

Edward Lodi was born in Wareham MA, graduating in 1961 as class valedictorian. He earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Boston University and was active in the Civil Rights Movement. He taught for 3 years at Shaw University in Raleigh NC. He enjoyed life as a hippie in San Francisco before coming to his senses and returning to Cape Cod. He taught at Mass Maritime before becoming a trainer of social workers for the Division of Medical Assistance. Since 1995 he has devoted full time to writing. He draws his inspiration from New England’s nature, history and folklore. His memoirs, short stories and novels are set on the cranberry bogs that he knows so well. He is the author or editor of more than 2 dozen books. Secrets and Shortcuts for Successful Writing contains the wisdom gained in a lifetime devoted to the craft of writing. Edward Lodi lives in Middleborough MA with his wife, the cookbook author Yolanda Lodi.
