David Winter wrote the chapbook Safe House (Thrush Press, 2013). His poems have recently appeared or are forthcoming in Atlanta Review, Four Way Review, Forklift, Ohio, Harpur Palate, Meridian, and Ninth Letter. David is currently an MFA student in Creative Writing at The Ohio State University, where he teaches creative writing and composition, and serves as a poetry editor for The Journal. He is also working on a literacy research / oral history project about the writing and lives of black poets in Columbus, Ohio.
