Daniel Lusk

Author's Bio

My new poetry collection, KIN (Wind Ridge Books, 2013) features work inspired by encounters with wildlife and fueled by folklore. Lake Studies: Meditations on Lake Champlain(2011) and a companion audiobook on CD, The Inland Sea, offer imaginative work based on discoveries of archeologists and other scientists, first-hand experience, interviews with divers, history and native lore that reveal mysteries of what lies beneath the surface of the lake. Shipwrecks, ancient fish, myth and legend inform these poems. (See website to read and listen.) Recent books also include Kissing the Ground: New & Selected Poems (1999) and Onion River: Six Vermont Poets (1996). My poems have appeared in Poetry, New Letters, Prairie Schooner, The Iowa Review, American Poetry Review, North American Review, North Dakota Quarterly, The Cafe Review, Nimrod, The Southern Review, Pinch, and many other literary journals. (See website also for a list of past readings, domestic and international.)
