The 2014 Catamaran Writing Conference was held from August 13 to August 17 at the Robert Louis Stevenson School in Pebble Beach, California. The conference offered workshops, craft lectures, and publishing panels for poets, fiction writers, and nonfiction writers. The faculty included poets Kim Addonizio and Joseph Millar; fiction writers Elizabeth McKenzie and Gina Ochsner; and nonfiction writers John Moir, Jonah Raskin, and Jane Vandenburgh. Participating writers included poets Stephen Kessler and Zack Rogow; fiction writer Scott Hutchins; and nonfiction writer Tom Christensen. The cost of the conference, which included tuition, meals, and lodging on the Robert Louis Stevenson School campus, was $1,200. The cost for commuters was $850. Writers submitted 5 poems totaling no more than 10 pages, or up to 20 pages of prose by July 15. Visit the website for more information.
