The program offers partial funding. The program offers merit scholarships, diversity scholarships, and chair's scholarships. Teaching assistantships are also widely available.

Other Features: 

The MFA program at California College of the Arts is part of an institution with over a hundred years of history. The program hosts a visiting writers series, student reading series, and a writing-in-residence program. Internships are available with Bay Area literary centers such as City Lights Publishers and 826 Valencia. The program is a long-standing sponsor of the Litquake Festival and the Bay Area Book Festival.
