Anca Szilagyi's fiction has appeared or is forthcoming in Fairy Tale Review, Gastronomica, The Massachusetts Review, Washington City Paper, and elsewhere. Her book reviews have appeared in Shenandoah and regularly on the Ploughshares blog. Born in Queens and raised in Brooklyn, she holds degrees from McGill University, Columbia University, and the University of Washington. Currently, she lives in Seattle, where she teaches creative writing at Richard Hugo House and is working on a collection of short stories and a novel.
My flash fiction has appeared in a number of online venues, often straddling the line between literary/mainstream and fantasy. One such story, "Gone," was nominated for a Pushcart Prize in 2008. I'm currently at work on a mainstream novel.
