I write poetry and creative non-fiction, in particular memoir. I've written about pregnancy loss, spousal illness/caregiving, and my passion for mathematics (and of course other things) I teach math at Arcadia U., and have developed a course called Truth and Beauty: Mathematics in Literature. Other interests: classical piano, singing, thrift-shopping, home-schooling, four grown children and three gran's.
Creative Nonfiction Writer, Poet
Cameron Conaway is a former MMA fighter, an award-winning poet and the 2014 Emerging Writer-in-Residence at Penn State Altoona. While serving as the Poet-in-Residence at the Mahidol Oxford Tropical Medicine Research Unit in Thailand, Conaway wrote Malaria, Poems (MSU Press, 2014), the first full-length book of contemporary poetry about malaria's impact on the world. He's a Rotary International End Polio Now "HistoryMaker" and a former Executive Editor at The Good Men Project. He currently serves on the Editorial Board at Slavery Today.
Christina Cook holds an MFA in writing with a concentration in literary translation from the Vermont College of Fine Arts and an MA in English and American literature from the University of Cincinnati. Her poems have appeared in a number of journals and her translations of poems by the contemporary Parisian poet, Marie-Claire Bancquart, have appeared in Hayden's Ferry Review, Cerise Press, Poetry Salzburg Review,and Prairie Schooner, with more forthcoming in Words without Borders. She teaches poetry at Colby-Sawyer College and is a staff writer for the University of Pennsylvania, as well as an assistant editor at Inertia Magazine.
