Creative Nonfiction Writer, Poet
Sarah M. Wells is the author of Pruning Burning Bushes (2012) and a chapbook, Acquiesce (2009). Her essays have appeared in Ascent, Brevity, Relief, River Teeth, and elsewhere. Wells is the Administrative Director of the low-residency MFA Program at Ashland University, where she serves as Managing Editor for both the Ashland Poetry Press and River Teeth: A Journal of Nonfiction Narrative.
Both my poetry collections have won national awards. I also have a volume of translations published by Univ. of CA PRess. My current manuscript, "Odd Lots, Scraps, and Second-Hand Like New" is complete and under consideration at several presses.

Theresa's short stories have appeared most recently in The Sun Magazine. "Blue Velvis" was nominated by The Sun for a Pushcart Prize. Her sixth story in The Sun is forthcoming in September 2010. She is the recipient of an Ohio Arts Council Individual Artist Grant and was chosen for a Residency at the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown.
