The daughter of American diplomats, Jehanne Dubrow was born in Italy and grew up in Yugoslavia, Zaire, Poland, Belgium, Austria, and the United States. She is the author of five poetry collections, most recently The Arranged Marriage (UNMP, 2015), Red Army Red (Northwestern UP, 2012), and Stateside (Northwestern UP, 2010). Her sixth book of poems, Dots & Dashes, won the Crab Orchard Series in Poetry Open Competition Award and will be published in 2017. Her poetry, creative nonfiction, and book reviews have appeared numerous publications, including Poetry, The New England Review, Southern Review, Pleiades, Ploughshares, and The New York Times Magazine.
J.C. Elkin is a graduate of Bates College, Southern Connecticut State University, and the Defense Language Institute. Founder of The Broadneck Writers’ Workshop, she is the author of "World Class: Poems Inspirted by the ESL Classroom," as well as numerous prize-winning poems and prose works. She works as a language teacher, theater critic and singer, and makes her home on the Chesapeake Bay.
