In addition to being a Pushcart nominated and Best of the Net nominated poet, I am also the founder and editor-in-chief of Five Oaks Press: http://five-oaks-press.com. I've received residencies from the Vermont Studio Center and Sundress Academy for the Arts. When I'm not teaching or writing, I am usually cycling, kayaking, or renovating my 1968 Airstream camper.
Creative Nonfiction Writer
I have also written a textbook, The Backwards Research Guide for Writers: Using Your Life for Reflection, Connection, and Inspiration (Equinox Publications2011). My work has been published in magazines including The New York Times, The Chronicle of Higher Education, and the Washington Post Magazine. I teach in the Department of English at Fairfield University and direct the Fairfield Low-Residency MFA Program.
Jennifer A.
