Kathryn Kulpa writes short stories, flash fiction, and prose poetry. Her flash fiction chapbook A Map of Lost Places is forthcoming from Gold Line Press, 2025. She is also the author of For Every Tower, a Princess (Porkbelly Press, 2024) and Cooking Tips for the Demon-Haunted (New Rivers Press, 2023). She was a winner of the Vella Chapbook Contest for Girls on Film (Paper Nautilus Press, 2016) and she received the First Series Award for her short story collection Pleasant Drugs (Mid-List Press). Her stories have been featured in several anthologies, including the Best Microfiction series (2020, 2021, 2022) and Best Small Fictions (2024).

Kathryn has published short fiction in Flash Frog, Florida Review, Ghost Parachute, Hayden’s Ferry Review, Monkeybicycle, Smokelong Quarterly, trampset, Wigleaf, and many other journals. She is a flash editor at Cleaver magazine and leads writing workshops through the magazine. She has also led workshops for the International Women's Writing Guild (IWWG), Truro Center for the Arts, Writespace, University of Rhode Island, and the Stonecoast Writers Conference. She was a visiting writer at Wheaton College in Norton, MA and Writers-in-the-Schools, Rhode Island.
