Bio: 

Dinty W. Moore worked as a journalist, a documentary filmmaker, a zookeeper, a modern dancer, and a Greenwich Village waiter before realizing he wanted to be a writer. He is author of the memoir Between Panic & Desire, winner of the Grub Street Nonfiction Book Prize, the writing guide Crafting the Personal Essay, and is editor of The Rose Metal Press Field Guide to Writing Flash Nonfiction, among many other books. Moore has published essays and stories in Harpers, The New York Times Sunday Magazine, The Philadelphia Inquirer Magazine, Creative Nonfiction, The Georgia Review and elsewhere. Moore founded Brevity, an online journal of flash nonfiction, twenty years ago and continues to edit the journal, publishing award-winning and emerging writers and reaching a wide international audience of readers.
