Bio: 

Jeanne Marie Beaumont holds an MFA from Columbia University. She is the author of four books of poetry, and the coeditor of The Poets' Grimm: 20th Century Poems from Grimm Fairy Tales (1993). Her poem, "Afraid So," was made into a short film by award-winning filmmaker Jay Rosenblatt and was screened internationally at festivals and at the Museum of Modern Art. Her play "Asylum Song," had its off-off Broadway premiere in a two-week run at HERE Arts Theater in Manhattan in June 2019. She has taught at the Frost Place, Rutgers University, the Stonecoast MFA Program of the University of Southern Maine, and at the 92nd Street Y in New York.
