Bio:

I am a NY-born artist and writer who has studied in Rome. I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Painting from Carnegie-Mellon University, where I was also editor-in-chief of the literary-art magazine Patterns, and an MFA from The City University of New York/Queens College. I have taught photography at Parsons School of Design and writing at CUNY, and I'm currently co-director of eMediaLoft. Four books of my short stories, musings and photographs, Clues To Myself (1981), Sensations (1984), Homo Futurus (1986) and Soul & Psyche (1998), have been published by Visual Studies Workshop Press, but VSW does not publish literary novels. My work in various media has been reviewed in The NY Times by John Russell, in the Village Voice by Manohla Dargis and in Flash Art International by Clare Carswell. I write reviews for NY Arts Magazine, am contributing editor of PlushNY, and my short stories and poetry have appeared in E.S.P., Feelings, The MacGuffin, Parting Gifts, Wood Coin and the forthcoming Big Book of Sex edited by The Unbearables. This month and last, I’ve read at the Cornelia Street Cafe (NY) and Joe’s Bar (Berlin), and in the Surreal Jazzoetry Series at the Bowery Poetry Club (NY).
