Bio: 

JULIA OLDER has lived in France, Italy, Brazil, and Mexico. Her thirty books include a memoir as the eleventh woman thru-hiker on the Appalachian Trail, APPALACHIAN ODYSSEY (fourth edition, Open Road-Author’s Guild e-book and Print paperback). Recent books include a new bilingual "Reader” BORIS VIAN INVENTS BORIS VIAN and her researched book-length poem TALES OF THE FRANÇOIS VASE with a Backstory (from the Italian) and CD of her award-winning NPR play (HobblebushBooks.com, 2012). Poets also infiltrate her researched Isles of Shoals Fiction Trilogy. One of Older’s poems was embroidered in Afghanistan, another displayed by the Smithsonian. She has work in SISTERS OF THE EARTH, NRDC, and New Hampshire POET SHOWCASE anthologies. Her poems-essays--stories have appeared in Poets & Writers, the New Yorker, Uprooted (Stanford), Nonbinary Review, Zoomorphic (Wales UK), and numerous other publications. She writes full-time in the foothills of Grand Monadnock, NH.
