Bobby Byrd was the cofounder and publisher of Cinco Punto Press in El Paso, Texas. The author of the poetry collections White Panties, Dead Friends and Other Bits & Pieces of Love (2006) and Otherwise, My Life Is Ordinary (2014), Byrd died at the age of eighty on July 11, 2022.
