Bio: 

John Gery has published seven books of poetry and poems in over 70 journals. He has been translated into seven languages. As a critic, editor and collaborative translator, he has a critical book on nuclearism and American poetry, a co-authored guidebook to Ezra Pound’s Venice, and a co-authored biography of Armenian poet Hmayeak Shems. He has collaborated on translations from Serbian, Italian, Armenian, Chinese, and French. Gery has received an NEA Fellowship, a Fulbright, a Research Fellowship from University of Minnesota, and several Louisiana Arts grants. He has lectured in Rome, Venice, Belgrade, Beijing, and Salamanca, and throughout the US. A Research Professor at University of New Orleans, he directs the Ezra Pound Center for Literature, Brunnenburg, Italy. He is also Secretary of the Ezra Pound International Conference and Series Editor of the EPCL Book Series at Clemson University Press.
