Bio: 

Robert Stewart won a National Magazine Award from the American Society of Magazine Editors.  He served for many years as editor-in-chief of New Letters magazine and BkMk Press, and he directed New Letters on the Air, a national, public-radio series produced at the University of Missouri-Kansas City.  He is a founding board member of Kansas City's The Writers Place and served for several years as board president.  He founded and ran for 36 years Midwest Poets Series on behalf of Rockhurst University in Kansas City, which hosts four nationally prominent writers a year.
