Bio:

I'm a poet who writes opera libretti. My book The Anima of Paul Bowles (Madhat Press) crosses between poetry, fiction, play-wrighting. These poems inform my libretto What Price Paradise, a project I'm working on with composer Janet Peachey.

I am author of eight collections of poetry, the latest (2021) is how we hold on from Broadstone Books.

I write The Steiny Road to Operadom, a monthly column for the performing arts publication Scene4 Magazine. My opera libretto Gertrude Stein Invents a Jump Early On is published in my nonfiction collection The Steiny Road to Operadom: The Making of American Operas.
