Bio:

My earliest writing began in poetry particularly, and I was a young journalist, essayist and short story writer. During the middle period of my life those same interests were focal, and I began to follow an interest as a book reviewer (Best Sellers out of Pittsburgh University in particular) and involved in outdoor writing (for three newspapers, two weeklies, and one periodic). Over time, while I continued to publish poetry, I began to favor fiction and historical fiction especially. At about the same time I became the editor of first one and later another newsletter for outdoor organizations in New York state -- the Adirondack Conservation Council and then the Conservation Alliance of New York, while also writing bi-monthly for yet a third such organization. Concentrating on outdoor interests that promote better understanding of the skills and abilities, concerns, and hands-on activities of those who hunt, fish, and trap, I became a member of the New York State Outdoor Writers Association, and continue in that capacity. At present, I am concentrating on historical fiction in both short story and novel forms.
