Bio: 

My work has appeared several times in The New York Times Metropolitan Diary column. My novela, Rican Lady, received honorable mention in a first novel contest sponsored by George Brazilier. In addition, my poetry has appeared in Street Cries, Let the Poets Speak and numerous other poetry journals. I published the award-winning poetry journal, Pulp, for ten years (1974-84) and interviewed several authors, among them Ralph Ellison, for Pulp. In 2012 my poem, "Gray Sweater Waves," won first prize in the Adult division of the 41st Annual Greenburgh, New York poetry contest. Forthcoming issue of Brilliant Flash Fiction, March, 2016, will contain one of my short pieces.
