The program hosts an Artist-in-Residence program. Other features include individualized mentoring and low student-to-faculty ratios in our graduate-only seminars.

The Golden Pony Writers’ Guild is the active creative writing student organization offering workshops, organizing readings, and coordinating critically acclaimed writers’ visits to the university, along with providing resources for members to attend national conferences. 

UCO also has generous scholarships specifically for creative writers, at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
