Songwriter and musician Dylan Hicks, whose debut novel, Boarded Windows, was published in May by Coffee House Press, recorded an album as a companion piece to the book. In the July/August 2012 issue, Sam Lipsyte interviews Hicks about the book and the album, saying, "It's sort of a writer's dream.
